Our Mission:
Our mission is to build strong, resourceful families and resilient children by sharing knowledge, resources, referral to services, direct support and training; with a focus on building a culture of parents and youth as mentors, partnerships within the community and collaborations with systems of care.
What We Do:
Serving Bucks County families who have a child or adolescent that struggles with emotional or behavioral issues, Bucks LIFE works closely with families to offer support along with informational resources and referral services.
Our powerful support groups and workshops provide families with opportunities to share common concerns – with day and evening availability to serve both full-time parents as well as professionals.
In addition to working collaboratively with local child-serving systems, providing system navigation, and involvement with various county wide initiative, we also offer assistance with community resources and school supports.

Administration Case Management
Our Administrative Case Managers take an individualized approach to providing support to better address the unique nature of every individual family dynamic.
By focusing on the child’s and family’s strengths and working with the many services and programs available in the county, we collaborate to help initial or change services to achieve the best outcomes for families.
Family Support Specialists
Our Family Support Specialists are peer professionals, who have experienced the child serving system through their own lives and who excel in navigating through the system and cultivating helpful support. This is done in a supportive, parent-to parent relationship.
- Guidance through the child-serving systems with a positive approach
- Supportive engagement with services and community resources
- Referrals and links to helpful resources
- Help and encouragement in parenting skills
- Support with school meetings, treatment planning and/or interagency meetings

Peer Support Specialist for Youth
The peer support specialist provides direct support by assisting them and guiding them in navigating the child/youth serving systems. The peer specialist will focus on empowering and educating the teen to work with the school and agencies that support them and thrive within their community.
The Peer Specialist for Youth:
- provides essential youth support and mentoring acting as professional staff that liaison between teen and parent, school and community.
- provides support to the youth and family through phone contact, email and direct service.
- participates in county and family meetings in regards to reviews, services planning and educational needs (IEP’s, 504’s, etc.)
- works with systems to advocate in helping families navigate systems that offer support to teens with special needs.
